DESCRIPTION:The 2023 Red Ribbon Run\, presented by title sponsor Publix Super Markets\, will kick off on Saturday morning\, October 28 at Lake Mirror in Lakeland with the Kids Fun Run for K-8 students\, along with the Family Fun Run in which parents/adults may run with their children. New this year will be a World Tour area with healthy snacks and activities highlighting different cultures around the globe. \nRegistration is FREE at InnerActAlliance.org for students in grades K-8 who pre-register before October 28. There will be a $5 fee to register on race day. Parents may pay a $5 fee to run with their child in the Family Fun Run. Race check-in begins at 7:00 a.m. at Lake Mirror Auditorium\, Family Fun Run takes place at 8:30 a.m.\, and grade heats begin at 8:45 a.m. (times approximate). DESCRIPTION:IRONMAN 70.3 Florida will be held at Lake Eva Park in Haines City. Haines City is just minutes away from many of the Central Florida attractions\, including LEGOLAND Florida Resort\, and features an exciting course. \nJust 30 minutes outside of Orlando\, Lake Eva Park provides a great setting for the event. The one-loop swim starts and finishes on a white sand beach. The transition area will be set up in a large parking lot on the site. \nThe one-loop bike route goes through Polk County and offers athletes the chance to enjoy views of citrus groves and cattle farms as they ride along the quiet country roads. Along the way athletes will ride past Bok Tower Gardens\, considered one of Florida’s “must-see” attractions\, and the course also goes along Highway 17\, which has been designated as one of Florida’s scenic highways. \nThe run course includes three loops around Lake Eva and finishes in a grassy park near the lake. \nThis is a great event for spectators.
