One-On-One Doubles Shootout

Part tennis event, part rockin’ blues concert, the One-On-One Doubles professional tennis tour brings its unique brand of serve and volley tennis to Winter Haven Saturday, April 28, from 2 to 6:30 p.m.
The Winter Haven event will feature Grand Slam Tennis Legends Emilio Sanchez, three time Grand Slam Doubles Champion, Luke Jensen, 1993 French Open Doubles Champion, Mikael Pernfors, 1986 French Open Singles Finalist, and Mel Purcell, former top 20 in the World’s ATP Singles player. The players will compete in a two hour round-robin format, first to win five games, no-ad scoring with a 9-point tiebreaker played at 4-4.
RJ Howson, who hails from the Chicago rockin blues circuit, will bring his rockin’ blues show to the event’s afterparty to begin immediately after the Tennis event.
One-On-One Doubles is sanctioned by USTA/ Florida for tournament play. Played cross-court, the event is a half-court, serve and volley game. Tournaments are played in a compact time frame, in a round-robin format with short sets.
The event’s Pro-Am Doubles matches, with the Legends and Sponsors, will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. the morning of the main event. The One-On-One Doubles Tennis Shootout will take place from 2:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Rockin’ Blues Concert will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. General Admission is $20 advance/$30 day of event; VIP is $90 to include VIP parking, seating, buffet and three beers.
