Jimmy Rogers

Jimmy Rogers

Jimmy Rogers, originally from Indiana, is a professional fisherman with a long career in bass tournament trails and television. He hosted and produced “Jimmy Rogers Fishing Adventures” for 20 years before retiring from TV.

Rogers reached the Bassmaster Classic twice, the pinnacle of professional bass fishing. He has fished for nearly every sport-fish in the Western Hemisphere, including peacock bass in Venezuela and king salmon in Alaska.

Jimmy’s biggest challenge was a heart transplant in 1990, but that only increased his gusto for life. After his heart transplant he still went on to earn his captain’s license to take guide trips to the Everglades and other shallow-water destinations.

Jimmy Rogers passed away in 2003 after his second heart gave out 13 years after his transplant, he was 63.
