Faris Brannen
Faris Brannen was the Head Football Coach of Frostproof High School from 1968-2004. During his 36-year tenure, he was a threetime Florida Athletic Coaches Association Football Coach of the Year and one-time Florida Athletic Coaches Association Coach of the Year in Track. Brannen also coached weightlifting, baseball and cross country.
Faris Brannen was the recipient of the Florida Athletic Coaches Association Lifetime Achievement Award in 1990, the Coca Cola Dunkel Award in 1991 and was inducted into the Frostproof High School Hall of Fame in 2007. In his honor, Frostproof High School named the football field Faris Brannen Stadium.
